Our Process

How We Work With Schools

Every partnership follows a thoughtful process designed to ensure our work is grounded in your context from day one.

1

Discovery Call

We start by listening — to your goals, your challenges, and what success looks like for your school or district.

2

Needs Assessment

We review your data, observe classrooms (where possible), and talk with teachers and leaders to understand where clarity work is most needed.

3

Custom Proposal

We design a tailored scope of work — timeline, format, and outcomes — built around your specific goals and budget.

4

Implementation & Iteration

We deliver, reflect, and adjust. Regular check-ins keep us aligned, and we share outcome data throughout the engagement.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Teacher clarity is the practice of being deliberately explicit about what students are learning, why it matters, and what success looks like. John Hattie's Visible Learning research — a meta-analysis of over 1,500 studies — identifies teacher clarity as one of the highest-effect-size factors in student achievement. When teachers are clear, students learn more — it's that straightforward.

Most PD covers a wide range of topics without building coherent, lasting practice. We go deep on one thing — clarity — because the research shows it's one of the highest-leverage shifts a teacher can make. Every session, every coaching cycle, every leadership conversation connects back to the same evidence-based core. That consistency is what makes it stick.

Yes — and Title I schools are some of our most important partners. We are well-versed in allowable Title I expenditures and can work with your federal program coordinator to ensure our services are compliantly funded. Clarity-based teaching is also one of the most equitable practices available: when learning expectations are explicit, all students benefit.

Teachers often report shifts in classroom practice within weeks of starting a coaching cycle — particularly around posting and unpacking learning intentions and success criteria. Deeper cultural change in a school typically requires a semester or more of sustained work. We track both leading indicators (teacher practice shifts) and lagging indicators (student data) and share progress throughout the engagement.

Yes. We offer fully virtual, in-person, and hybrid delivery models. Our virtual coaching cycles and PD sessions are designed with the same depth and interactivity as our on-site work. Clarity practices translate directly to virtual classrooms — in many ways, they're even more essential when teaching at a distance.

We work across all grade levels — PreK through 12th grade — and across all content areas. While the language and application of clarity practices looks different in a kindergarten classroom versus an AP course, the core principles are universal. Our coaches have deep experience across the full K–12 spectrum.
